I am very happy that the Supreme Court nominee has a long and distinguished record. I may not agree with everything she has done, but rather than nominating people with light weight records so there is nothing to judge, Obama has nominated something with a long record and someone with a fairly good intellect.

I do like to see smart people on the highest court and I also like to see a range of people (conservative to liberal) so the issues can be discussed. I fear the court was becoming too conservative and that is not a good thing.

I am disappointed in the Republicans who chose not to support such a fine candidate, regardless of their disagreements with her politics.
